Buckler, Samuel, 99, died Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Laura (Kagan) Buckler. Born in Providence, a son of the late Hime and Rose (Pepper) Buckler, he had lived in Cranston for over 60 years. He was co-founder of United Printing for 35 years, retiring in 1986. Samuel was a WW-II Army Air veteran, serving in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of Jewish War Veterans Post 23 and Touro Fraternal Association. He was a member of the former Temple Am David, the West Bay Community Jewish Center, Temple Beth Israel, and Shaare Zedek Synagogue, and also a former member of Temple Torat Yisrael. Samuel was a Cranston Senior Guild member, serving as its treasurer for 16 years. He also served on the board of the South Providence Hebrew Free Loan Association.

Devoted father of Barbara Shapiro and her husband, Nathan, of West Warwick and Bruce Buckler of Cranston. Dear brother of Leonard Buckler of Greenville and the late Edith Carcieri and Charlotte Wine. Loving grandfather of Jeffrey and Eric. Cherished great grandfather of Jonas and Lucas. Companion of the late Annette Perlman for 12 years.

 Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. Shiva will be observed at 104 Monterey Drive, West Warwick, Monday September 11, 7-9 and Tuesday September 12, 2-4 and 7-9. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
