DATELINE: WARWICK Florence Landes, age 101, passed away at home Saturday, August 24, 2019. She was born in Providence, RI on October 4, 1917 the second of three daughters to the late Louis and Mollie Silverman, and lived in Warwick for the past 55 years. The three sisters worked together as beauticians after high school; Florence went on to have her own beauty parlor. Later she and her sister Ruth opened a restaurant and continued on to work in the cafeteria at General Electric. Florence moved to Sparrows Point II apartments when it opened in 1979. Born in Dartmouth, son of the late Barney and Rose (Long) Goldstein, he was a lifelong resident of Westport.
