Cranston Nouman, Marc B., 58, died on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Frezza) Nouman for 24 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of Valerie Halperin of Georgia and the late Gerald L. Nouman, he had lived in Cranston for most of his life. Aside from his wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter, Jessie Nouman and his brother, Scott Nouman. Funeral and Shiva will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.

Strauss, Rhoda

Warwick Strauss, Rhoda B, 87, of Warwick, died on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Miriam (Berman) Strauss. Rhoda was a resident of Warwick for the last 25 years. Rhoda was a devoted companion to several dogs over her lifetime, most notably Charlie and Max, she loved them like her children and during their lives she provided for them as her own. Rhoda loved her family immensely, she is survived by her siblings, Arthur Strauss, his wife Marie, of Narragansett, RI and Jeffrey Strauss, his wife Connie, of Punta Gorda, FL; she was also a dear aunt to several nieces, nephews and great nieces. Kaplan, Lloyd S.

Kaplan, Lloyd S., 93, died Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Sheila (Berger) Kaplan for 66 years. Born in Fall River, MA, a son of the late Abraham and Tillie (Siegel) Kaplan, he had lived in Warwick since 2009, previously living in Providence. He was a music teacher and professor at numerous schools, including Hugh B. Bain Jr. High School, Scituate Jr. & Sr. High Schools, Brown University Extension School, CCRI, Coastal Carolina University, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and University of RI. He never fully retired. Lloyd was a Korean Conflict Army veteran. Lee, Joyce Singer

Cranston Joyce Sandra Singer Lee, 72, entered her eternal life and rest, peacefully at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center on September 5 after a courageous and inspiring 2.5 year battle with glioblastoma. Married in 1978, she is privileged to call herself the fortunate wife of her late husband Terrence E. Lee (deceased in 2025). They built a beautiful life together, filled many travel adventures, good friends and family times. The highlight of which has to be the amazing family vacation we all were blessed to share.
