David Engle

DATELINE: PAWTUCKET Engle, David, 71, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 in Providence. He was the loving husband of Ronnie Golden Engle, devoted father of Henri-Martin Engle and dear brother of Carol Stupell and the late Ellen Connor. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Melvin and Mary (Kantorowitz) Engle.  Upon his graduation from the University of Rhode Island, David joined the family business, Engle Tire Company in Providence until retiring in 2005.  He was a member of Touro Fraternal Association.  David was an avid sportsman and spectator. Irving Weinreich

DATELINE: PAWTUCKET & NARRAGANSETT Weinreich, Irving, 89, passed away on October 12, 2021.  He was the beloved husband of Ruth (Green) Weinreich for more than 60 years. He was the devoted father of Audrey Weinreich and Deb Weinreich, and loving grandfather of Bari Weinreich.  Born in Danzig, Germany, came to America at 7 years old with his parents, Victor and Hannah (Pollak) Weinreich. He was a longtime resident of Pawtucket. Irving was a graduate of Hope High School and Bryant College.  He was an Army Veteran, serving in Korea. Irving owned Victor Co. Inc in Providence for 65 years and continued to work after Audrey took over.  He was an active member of Temple Emanu-El and a part of the minyan group. Lili Krongold

DATELINE: WESTERLY Lili (Malewanczyk) Krongold was born on October 20, 1921 in Tczew, Poland.  She passed away on October 8, 2021, just 12 days shy of her 100th birthday.  A Holocaust survivor, she was a person of great strength, leonine courage and an indomitable spirit.  Everyone who knew her, loved her.  IT was impossible not to admire her for her honesty, her sense of humor, her kindness and for never ever backing down when her principles were at stake.  From the ashes of tragedy, like the phoenix, she rose, unbent, to make a life with her husband George and daughter Elizabeth in Rome, Italy and subsequently, in the United States, after WWII.  Her passing is a loss which cannot be measured. He was the beloved son of Kevin Friedland and Beth Dworetzky of Richmond, RI and cherished grandson of Florence Dworetzky of White Plains, NY.
