Born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of the late Phillip and Sarah (Clott) Pokross, she had lived in Warwick since 1970, previously living in Cranston. She was an inspector for E.E. Weller Company, retiring over 20 years ago. Sophie was a member of Chabad of West Bay and a former member of Congregation Sons of Abraham and Temple Torat Yisrael. She was a member of the Cranston Senior Guild and was active with Jewish Family Services and the Kosher Meal Site. Born in Hartford, CT, a son of the late Harry and Martha (Weinchel) Slitt, he had lived in East Greenwich for 35 years, previously living in Simsbury, CT. He was an attorney for several insurance companies, including American Universal, where he met his wife, retiring in 1999. David was a Navy Airman serving from 1948-49 aboard the USS Coral Sea in Mindoro and stateside.
