DATELINE: WARWICK Dickens, Isabelle F., 98, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Kent County Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Dickens. Born in Central Falls, daughter of the late Harry and Martha (Sigal) Fruit, she had lived in Warwick for 12 years, previously living in Pembroke Pines, FL. She graduated from Pawtucket High School, Class of ’36 and RI College of Education (now RIC), Class of ’40.  Isabelle was an elementary school and junior high math teacher in Pawtucket, Seekonk, and Attleboro. She was a life member of the National Council of Jewish Women and the Jewish Seniors Agency Women’s Association, as well as a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association. Valerie Delores Cohen, age 105 and eight months, died in East Providence on April 24th, 2017, with her granddaughters, Sandra Medeiros and Paula Chace, by her side. Valerie was a longtime resident at Waterview Villa Rehabilitation in East Providence and the oldest resident of the city of East Providence. Born August 17, 1911 in Orange, New Jersey to Alma AuClaire and John A. Deary, Valerie was married to the late Sumner A. Cohen. Her brothers were the late Richard Deary and the late Raymond Deary. DATELINE: CRANSTON Cerel, Joel M., 82, died Friday, April 14, 2017 at home. He was the beloved husband of Lenore (White) Cerel for 60 years. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Jack and Frances (Mellion) Cerel, he was a longtime resident of Cranston.
