Marvin L. Granoff

Dateline: Warwick Granoff, Marvin L., 87, of Merrymount Drive, Warwick, died August 27, 2013, at Philip Hulitar Hospice.  He was the beloved husband of Molly (Kadsivitz) Granoff, for 62 years. He was the loving father of two sets of twins: Charles Granoff of Newton, MA, and Rick Granoff (Marcy Granoff) of Cranston, Faye (Granoff) Stolzman (Robert I. Lauderdale, FL, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013.  He was the husband of Miriam (Friedland) Levy for over 60 years.     Born in Providence, a son of the late Samuel and Annie (Matasow) Levy, he had lived in Warwick for nearly 60 years and wintered in Florida for over 30 years.     He was the founder of Crosstown Press Printing in Cranston where he worked until his retirement. Ida Goldstein, 95, a resident of Shalom Apartments in Warwick before moving to Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston several years ago, died Monday at the Miriam Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Joseph H. Goldstein. A graduate of the old Commercial High School in Providence, she was facile at language and during her school days was a winner of the prestigious Anthony Medal for essay writing. She also enjoyed playing golf and solving the crossword puzzle in the Sunday New York Times. Mrs. Goldstein was a skilled contract bridge player who accumulated many master points over several decades.
