Bander, Sydney, 95, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at his home at the Greenwich Farms at Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Mildred (Servita) Bander. Born in Providence, a son of Samuel and Sandie (Goldstein) Bander, he had lived in Warwick for seven years, previously living in Boynton Beach, FL.

He owned the former Syd Bander Discount Jewelry Co. and worked for various prime manufacturers in the jewelry industry, retiring in 1993. Sydney was a founding member of Temple Sinai and a member of Touro Fraternal Association.  He enjoyed staying active, playing sports such as tennis, golf, bowling, horseback riding and downhill skiing.  Sydney also enjoyed playing Bridge and other card games with friends.  He was an animal lover as well.

Devoted father of Scott Bander and his wife, Susan, of Naples, FL and Howard Bander of Warwick.  Dear brother of the late Frances Gerstenblatt.  Loving grandfather of Adam and Gregory.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Lincoln Park Cemetery, 1469 Post Road in Warwick.  Shiva will be observed in private.
