Carl Solomon
Solomon, Carl, 82, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA. Born in Providence, the son of the late Nathan and Mae (Bochner) Solomon. He lived in East Falmouth for 36 years, previously living in Buzzards Bay. Carl was an Air Force veteran, rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant, and served in Panama. He was the owner of the Mad Hatter, selling hats and gloves at area flea markets and annually at the Big E. Until recently, Carl spent his free time driving a cab, during which he enjoyed meeting people from around the country, as well as attending Patriots games and spending time at Amvets Post 70, of Falmouth, of which he was an active member.
Brother of the late Marvin Solomon and brother-in-law to Marilyn Solomon, cousin to Ron Bochner. Cherished uncle of Lori Leff, Nancy Lipschutz, and Dr. Robin Solomon. Beloved great-uncle to five great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Providence Hebrew Free Loan, 2845 Post Rd., Warwick, RI 02886 or Amvets, Post 70, 366 Palmer Ave., Falmouth, MA 02540.
