Berstein, Dorothy K., 85, of Boynton Beach, FL, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013 at home.  She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Bernard Berstein.  Born in Boston, MA, a daughter of the late Myer and Fannie (Ostrow) Kaplan, she had lived in Boynton Beach for 5 years, previously living in Narragansett.  Dorothy was a school librarian for over 20 years.  She was a graduate of Pembroke and received her Masters Degree from URI. Dorothy was a past member of Temple Emanu-El.  Devoted mother of Richard Berstein, Esq. and his wife, Meryl, of Narragansett, Larry P. Berstein, M.D. and his wife, Victoria, of Syosset, NY, and Jason Berstein, M.D. of Boynton Beach, FL.  Dear sister of the late Hilda Rakatansky.  Loving grandmother of Scott, Julie (Josh), Daniel, Heather, Marissa, Lindsay and Alison. Cherished great grandmother of Addison, Etta and Lucy. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 12:00 noon in LINCOLN PARK CEMETERY, 1469 Post Rd., Warwick.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to your favorite charity.  Shiva will be observed at 20 Riverside Dr., Narragansett, Wednesday 2-8 p.m. Arrangements by SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, Cranston.
