Greenberg, Philip, 80, of 305 Greenwich Ave., B-204, Warwick, died Monday, August 26, 2013 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence.  He was the beloved husband of Anita (Pollock) Greenberg of Warwick.  They were married for 60 years.  Born in Providence, a son of the late Max and Fay (Glickman) Greenberg, he had lived in Warwick for over 50 years.  He was involved in retail management and sales for over 30 years, retiring in 1999.  Philip was a Korean Conflict Army veteran, serving in Korea.  He was a member of Temple Torat Yisrael and its Men’s Club, also serving on the temple’s board of directors. He was a member of Jewish War Veterans Post 23, Touro Fraternal Association, South Providence Hebrew Free Loan, and Chessed Shel Amess.  He volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Chaver, the Kosher Food Pantry, and Jewish Eldercare of RI.  Devoted father of Elaine Sher and her husband Richard, of Framingham, MA and Audrey Brisson and her husband, Robert, of Coventry.  Dear brother of Leonard Greenberg of Warwick, Deborah Gordon of Harrisburg, PA, and David Greenberg of Cranston.  Loving grandfather of Matthew, Jared, Marissa, and Lindsey.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in Temple Torat Yisrael, 1251 Middle Rd., East Greenwich.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Temple Torat Yisrael, 1251 Middle Rd., East Greenwich, RI 02818, or your favorite charity.  Shiva will be observed at his late residence, Wed. 7-9, Thurs. 2-4 & 7-9 and Fri. 2-4 p.m.
