Koerner, Susan A., 59, died Friday, January 1, 2016 at RI Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Charles F. Koerner for 26 years. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Edwin and Harriet (Rogin) Greenfield, she lived in South Kingstown for 23 years. Susan was a teacher’s assistant with special needs children in the Transition Center at University of Rhode Island. She was a former member of Congregation Beth David. Devoted mother of Christopher and Sara Koerner, both of South Kingstown. Dear sister of Marc Greenfield (wife, Susan) and loving aunt to Joshua, Benjamin and Samuel Greenfield. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. in Congregation Beth David, 102 Kingstown Rd., Narragansett. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Congregation Beth David. Shiva will private.

    I was lucky enough to work with Sue who always made me laugh at myself and find humor in our daily lives. My heart is very heavy with her passing and my deepest sympathies go out to her family.
