That is a tribute to the great doctor and man that he was. His bedside manner with children was the best and he could always calm a crying infant. There will never be another like him. Deepest sympathies to you, your children and grandchildren.

So sorry for your loss. Dr. Portnoy was a pillar in the community and beloved by so many. This is a sad time for all. He touched so many lives and will long be remembered as a man of integrity, compassion and kindness. Truly a life well-lived and well loved.
Dr. Portnoy was my family’s pediatrician for many years. As a young mother with a severely disabled son, his guidance and gentle nature were invaluable. He cared for my son Jeffrey until he was in his twenties and became too old for insurance to cover pediatric care. He was a Godsend to my family. We were blessed to have been cared for by him. Heaven’s light is shining brighter with the addition of this beautiful soul. Our deepest sympathy to his family for their loss.
Susan,
Please accept my deepest sympathy. He was such a great person besides being a wonderful Doctor. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
