Dreyfuss, Stephen L., 67, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 at Kent Hospital. Born in Providence, a beloved son of the late Jack and Renee (Kahn) Dreyfuss, he had lived in Warwick since 1960, previously living in Cranston. Stephen spent over 40 years working with schools, music educators, and community groups providing on-site music recordings. He was a controller for several retail stores and was an administrative director for RI Optometric Assoc. Devoted father of Jillian Dreyfuss Marks of Cranston and Emily Dreyfuss of Warwick. Dear brother of Robert Dreyfuss of Ellicott City, MD. Loving grandfather of Sophia. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to RI Music Education Assoc., 667 Waterman Ave., East Providence, RI 02914. Shiva will be private.

Sarah, I can’t express my thanks enough for your kindness and care for my dad. You filled a void I couldn’t and it’s appreciated. He said you made the best Bologna and cinammon bread sandwiches.
So sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. I am a member of the Cumberland Lincoln Community Chorus and remember talking with him on many occasions. He always went above and beyond in all he did to make certain it was the very best it could be. But more than that he was a kind person who would always listen (yes he loved to talk too). I will miss his presence and hearing his stories.
Through many concert years of the Rhode Island Wind Ensemble, it was my privilege to work with your father on many of the group’s recordings and digital presentations for grants. He was a consummate professional and always cheerfully supportive of music educators, students and community groups. We were so sorry to hear of his passing. Our sincere condolences,

I didn’t know Steve, but he was always smiling when he was recording our concerts , so I always said hello to him. He seemed so friendly and nice. I am a member of The Chorus OfEast Providence. My deepest sympathy to all his family.
I knew Steve from his service for the Cumberland-Lincoln Chorus. My great sympathy to the family.
Steve was a good soldier and served his country well. I was proud to have him as a comrade and to have worked with him at WRIU at URI.
