Riverside Beer, Sara (Minkus), 91, passed away peacefully with her devoted children by her side on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Beer for 43 years. Born in Brooklyn, Sara grew up in Forest Hills, Queens. She was a daughter of the late Jacques and Mary (Steinman) Minkus, she lived in New York for 89 years before moving to Warwick, Rhode Island in 2023. She was a proud elementary school teacher with the Oceanside School District in New York for 20 years, retiring in 1992. Warwick, RI Richard A. Griffin, Jr., 67, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Lorie (Klemer) Griffin for 42 years. A lifelong resident of Warwick, RI, he was the son of the late Richard and Jean (Baughan) Griffin and the stepson of Dorothy Griffin of Warwick. Rick enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a goldsmith, most recently with Ephraim Doumato Jewelers. He is survived by his children Seth (Kimberly) of Johnston and Rachel Griffin of Warwick; his sister Debra Borrelli (Vincent) of Greenville; and his grandson Wesley. Providence Nieforth, Caryl-Ann, 88, died in the comfort of her home and in her own bed surrounded by her devoted family. A lifelong resident of Providence and Barrington Beach, she was the daughter of Meyer S. Miller and Beatrice Wattman. She was the granddaughter of Betty Wattman, whom she cherished and loved, often sharing her memories of their visits and walks to the “Birdie Park”. Caryl-Ann was the beloved wife of Dexter Nieforth, whom she adored. She graduated from Classical High School and attended Pembroke College (Brown University) and stayed active with their alumni affairs as President of her class until her death.
