Beer, Sara (Minkus), 91, passed away peacefully with her devoted children by her side on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley Beer for 43 years.

Born in Brooklyn, Sara grew up in Forest Hills, Queens. She was a daughter of the late Jacques and Mary (Steinman) Minkus, she lived in New York for 89 years before moving to Warwick, Rhode Island in 2023. She was a proud elementary school teacher with the Oceanside School District in New York for 20 years, retiring in 1992.

Devoted mother of Andrew Beer, his late wife Victoria z”l of Dunedin, FL and Lawrence, his wife Cheryl Beer of Riverside, RI. Dear sister of the late Beatrice Hessen. Loving grandmother of Scott and Matthew. Cherished great grandmother of Cooper, Dawson, Finley and Natalie.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Mt. Ararat Cemetery, 1165 NY-109, Lindenhurst, NY 11757. Shiva will be observed in private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
