Israel A. Schwartz

DATELINE: SWANSEA Schwartz, Israel A., 90, died Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Ethel (Sanft) Schwartz. Born in Pawtucket, RI, a son of the late Louis and Annie Schwartz, he had lived in Swansea for 43 years. He worked at J & J Corrugated Box Company for 18 years, retiring in 1991. Israel was a WWII Navy veteran. Dear brother of Molly Blank of Gainesville, FL, Lionel Schwartz and his wife Celia, of Southbury, CT, twins, Adele Kellman and Shirley Yoselovsky, both of Brooklyn, NY and the late Joseph Schwartz. Adelaide “Addie” Luber

DATELINE: WARWICK Luber, Adelaide “Addie,” 89, of Tamarisk, died Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at home. Born in Somerville, NJ, a daughter of the late Samuel and Frieda (Kaplan) Wishnow, she had lived in Warwick for 5 years, previously living in Cranston. Addie was a graduate of Douglas College at Rutgers University, Class of ’49, where she was a distinguished alumnus of the college. Addie had a very impressive working career.  In 1964, as part of the War on Poverty, she became the first female director of the CCAP (Cranston Community Action Program).  During her time as CCAP director, she helped start a health center, a nutrition program, a senior center, a jobs training program, and a full year Head Start program.  She was also active in the Cranston...
