Beverly H. Goldberg, 89, formerly Beverly Ann Halpern, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026.

Born to Harry and Katherine (Bergel) Halpern and raised in Rhode Island, Beverly graduated from Classical High School in Providence and later earned her degree from Simmons College in Boston. She dedicated part of her professional life to education, working as a teacher and continuing to substitute teach while raising her family. Her lifelong love of travel later led her to enjoy a part-time career as a travel agent, helping others explore the world she loved so much.

Beverly and her beloved husband, Bernard S. Goldberg, shared 56 happy years together until his passing. Together they built a wonderful life centered on family, friendship, and creating lasting memories.

She raised her family in Cranston, Rhode Island, while cherishing summers in Narragansett, where family gatherings, beach days, and celebrations became treasured traditions. Beverly had a special gift for bringing people together and was known for organizing memorable family parties filled with warmth, laughter, and love.

In retirement, Beverly and Bernie enjoyed spending their time between Narragansett, Rhode Island and Boynton Beach, Florida where they enjoyed golf, social activities, and the company of many dear friends at Hunters Run Country Club.

Beverly was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She maintained lifelong friendships and formed new ones wherever she went. She enjoyed playing bridge and canasta games with her friends, loved social gatherings, and found great joy in spending time with her growing family. As her children and grandchildren grew, nothing brought her greater happiness than being part of their lives and celebrating their accomplishments.

She is survived by her loving children, Alan J. Goldberg and his wife, Amy, of Sharon, Massachusetts, and Nancy Rubenstein and her husband, Gene, of Sudbury, Massachusetts.

She was the proud and devoted grandmother of Jennifer Goldberg, Michelle Fellows and her husband, Matthew, Kenneth Paul, Heidi Rubenstein, and Dana Rubenstein.

She is also survived by her brother, Robert Halpern and his wife, Marcia, of Naples, Florida, and her sister, Marjorie Bean and her husband, Norman, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Beverly will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, vibrant social spirit, love of family, and her ability to make every gathering feel special. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and in the cherished memories shared by her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Shalom Memorial Chapel, 1100 New London Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920. The family will be observing Shiva on June 29 immediately following the funeral at 13 Browning Drive, Narragansett Rhode Island, and later that day between 7 PM and 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 5757 Waterford District Drive, Ste 310, Miami, FL 33126  or a charity of your choice.
