Sock, Sheldon, 102, of Cranston died peacefully at home on Friday, May 29, 2026. He was the loving husband of the late Leila (Lake) Sock for 71 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late David and Eva (Karklin) Sock. Sheldon was a long-time resident of Cranston and a member of Temple Beth-El. He owned a liquor store for over 20+ years putting in many long hours. He was an accountant at Scarpetti Oldsmobile, Regine Pontiac and New England Technology, retiring at 65.
Devoted father of Philip Sock and his late wife, Gayle (Myers) of Narragansett and Sharon Sabbagh and her husband, Tal, of Newton, MA. Dear brother of the late Nathaniel, James, Philip, Joseph and Abraham Sock and the late Irene Cohen, Lillian Sarat, Beatrice Zeaman and Rose Sock. Loving grandfather of Joshua, Aliza, Daniel, Jonathan, David and Gillian. Cherished great grandfather of Billy and Julian Sock, Ella, Luna and Gavin Tokatlian, Leila, Noah, Avi, Alex, Max, Lilly and Eli Sabbagh. Sheldon is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Sheldon looked forward to his weekly calls with each of his grandchildren talking about their busy lives and travels. They all enjoyed his sense of humor and his amazingly sharp mind.
Private graveside services were held on June 1 in Lincoln Park Cemetery, 1469 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02888. Shiva will be observed in private.
