Kaufman, Diane S., 72, died Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Kent Hospital. Born in Norfolk, VA, a daughter of the late Samuel and Mildred (Eisenberg) Silver, she had lived in Warwick for over 20 years, previously living in Cranston. She was a medical transcriptionist for Kent Hospital for over 20 years, retiring 10 years ago. In her retirement, she enjoyed ballroom dancing, vacationing back home in Virginia Beach, and spending time with friends and family.

Devoted mother of Michael Kaufman and his wife, Jaime of Clarksville, TN and Meredith Barr and her husband, David Barr Jr., of West Warwick. Dear sister of the late Judith Ray. Loving grandmother of Kennedy and Samantha.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 12:00 noon in Mikro Kodesh Cemetery, 2295 Berkley Ave., Chesapeake, VA. Shiva will be observed at 11 Auburn St., West Warwick on Sunday, July 6, from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

    Diane was a very nice lady. We would sit and talk. She was an intelligent and loving person. Diane was a giving person and liked to help people out. We will miss her. I pray that God will comfort and bless all of her family. I will keep her in my heart always. Sincerely, Nathan & Mollie Vilker

    I will miss my cousin and do remember those Virginia Beach visits. She and my late wife, Charlotte Silver became good friends. Charlotte loved Mahjong and I have a feeling she is getting Diane in on her heavenly Mahjong team. Love you cuz.

    Sorry to know Diane has passed but glad she is at peace. She bravely faced many challenges in her life and was a sweet and loyal friend whose family both near and far meant the world to her.
