Rosen, Daniel B., 74, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the Ferris Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction, CO. Born in Worcester, MA, the son of the late Harry and Estelle (Goldin) Rosen, he had lived in Montrose, CO for two years, previously living in Delray Beach, FL, New York, NY, Easton, CT, Fort Smith, AR, and Pound Ridge, NY.
Dr. Rosen was well known in the disability field as an administrator, fundraiser, consultant (both national and international), educator, lecturer, author, and advocate of legislation to enhance the lives of and protect the rights of people with disabilities. He most recently served as CEO of International Center for the Disabled, and President and CEO and ARI of Connecticut and New York.
Devoted father of Michael and his wife Melinda, of Durham, NH, and Jonathan and his wife Ashley, of Montrose, CO.
Dear brother of Joel Rosen and his wife Janice, of Newtown, Pennsylvania and Celia Marlowe and her husband, Douglas, of Delray Beach, FL.
Loving grandfather of Joshua, Alexander, Oliver and Mabel.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 19th at 11:00 am at Sons of Israel & David Cemetery, 401 Reservoir Avenue, Providence, RI 02910.
Shiva will be observed 7:00-9:00 pm that evening and 2:00-4:00 pm & 7:00-9:00pm Wednesday at 123 Massasoit Ave, Cranston, RI, 02905.
