Dwares, Neal H., 69, died Sunday, February 11, 2024 at home. Devoted husband of the late Cheryl Peterson. Born in Providence, a son of the late Robert and Shirley (Gold) Dwares, Neal had lived in East Providence for over 30 years, previously living in Warwick. He was head custodian at CCRI until his retirement 5 years ago. Neal earned a B.S. from Roger Williams University, Class of 2000 and was a member of Touro Fraternal Association.

Father of Robert Dwares and his wife, Tara, of Cranston and Kimberly Lau and her wife, Mel, of Warwick. Former husband of Gail Z. Dwares of North Kingstown. Cherished doggy daddy of his beloved bichons, Haley, Jill, and Cocoa.

Funeral services and shiva will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to RISPCA.

    Neal is also survived by his daughter Nicole Peterson Desrosiers and a grandson Tyler Mchman and a granddaughter Hunter Desrosiers and a sister Beth Dwares and 3 other siblings. Funeral to be held at Gates of Heaven Cemetary in East Providence. Neal will be laid to rest next to his beloved late wife Cheryl Peterson, site 23

      In regard to the passing of Neal Dwares, sadly the names of his other siblings were omitted by Beth Dwares. The other Dwares siblings are as follows: Kevin Dwares and his loving wife Barbara, Curtis Dwares and his loving wife Julie, and Loren Dwares Redman and her loving husband Paul Redman. Additionally, Neal was the uncle to several nieces and nephews.
