Hochman, Richard A., 81, died Thursday, February 1, 2024 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice. He was the beloved husband of Ann (Zisserson) Hochman for 58 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Hyman and Ethel (Alberts) Hochman, he had lived in Cranston for 58 years. He owned several businesses over the course of his lifetime, retiring in 2009. Richard was a Army reserve veteran. He attended Bryant College. He coached little league and men’s softball for 26 years.
Devoted father of Debra Sanchez and her husband, Lou, of San Diego, CA and the late Derek Hochman. Brother of Arlene Adler of Narragansett. Loving grandfather of Sarah, Rachel, and Nathaniel. Cherished uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. Shiva will be observed at his late residence, Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
