Marilyn Rena Solomon

Solomon, Marilyn Rena, 86, died Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Stein Assisted Living, Somerset, NJ. Born in Pawtucket, RI to late Louis and Ida (Meizel) Buckbinder z”l, she was the beloved wife of the late Marvin G. Solomon z”l. The family settled in East Brunswick, NJ, where Marilyn remained for 44 years. Along with her husband and family, she was a founding member of Temple B’nai Shalom, which provided a foundation in Judaism for their children.

After Marvin passed unexpectedly in 1981, Marilyn took on work outside the home as a bookkeeper and claims agent while raising their 3 daughters. She was determined that each of her children achieve their dreams and was very proud of all their accomplishments.

Devoted mother of Lori M. Leff and her husband Kevin of Highland Park, NJ, Nancy I. Lipschutz and her husband Robert of Edison, NJ and Dr. Robin K. Solomon of Albany, NY. Beloved sister of Sanford “Sandy” Buckbinder of Providence; the late David Buckbinder z”l and Jerry Buckbinder z”l. Cherished grandmother of Miriam, Matan, Eitan, Maxwell, and Francine.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 am at Shalom Memorial Chapel, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. Burial will follow at Lincoln Park Cemetery, Warwick. Shiva will be observed at the residences of Lori Leff, 10 Cleveland Ave, Highland Park, NJ and Nancy Lipschutz, 55 Beechwood Drive, Edison, NJ.
