Jacobson, Marvin

Jacobson, Marvin G., 85, died Sunday, October 16, 2022 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the beloved husband of Arleen (Perler) Jacobson for 62 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph and Etta (Seltzer) Jacobson, he had lived in Cranston, previously living in Providence. He was an office supply sales representative for over 40 years, retiring 20 years ago. Marvin was a member of Touro Fraternal Association, Roosevelt Lodge of the Masons, Temple Sinai and its Brotherhood, and the RI Air National Guard. He was an avid sports fan. He graduated from Bryant College in 1959. He was a former member of the Board of Directors for Temple Sinai.

Devoted father of David Jacobson and his wife, Hillary, of Framingham, MA, Debbie Shapiro and her husband, Todd, of Cranston. Loving grandfather of Josh and his fiancée Ann-Marie, Eric, Matthew, and Madison.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12:30 in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. Shiva will be observed at the home of Debbie and Todd Shapiro on Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Temple Sinai or the charity of your choice.
