Irwin J. Vederman


Vederman, Irwin J., 91, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Hyman) Vederman for 54 years. Born in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late Samuel and Dora (Jaffe) Vederman, he had lived in Warwick for 51 years. Irwin served in the US Army from 1948-50, stationed in Fort Devens, MA.  He was a lifetime jewelry salesman, retiring in 2007. Irwin was a member of Temple Sinai.

Devoted father of Samuel Vederman (Jennifer Griffis) of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Harris Marc Vederman (Carol) of Dickerson, MD. Loving “Papi” of Cecelia and Adeline.  Dear brother of the late Adele Rakoff, Norma Mirow and Robert Vederman.  Uncle Irv to devoted nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his fluffy companion, Lulu Vedercat.

Funeral services will be held  Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston.

Shiva will be observed at his late residence on Thursday, immediately following the service until 8 p.m. and Friday from 1-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Temple Sinai, 30 Hagen Ave., Cranston, RI 02920.

    I was so sorry to hear about your father’s death. I know how important he was in your life, giving the way you have chosen together with JINSA. Yaniv and I are so sad about your loss and wish to express our sincere condolences.

    thank you for your thoughtful wishes – I was looking through pictures and have many of our parents from years and years ago- it bring back wonderful memories of our growing up.
