Charles H. Dress
Dress, Charles H., 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Poli) Dress for 44 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Jacob and Hester (Schwartz) Dress, he had lived in Warwick for 37 years. He was a graduate of URI, Class of ’60. Charles was the Director of Human Resources for Robbins Co. in Attleboro, retiring in 2000.
He was a member of AARP and received their Volunteer of the Year Award in 2016. Charles was an avid tennis player and a member and volunteer with USTA and RI Mentoring Program.
Devoted father of Carl Dress and his wife, Nicole, of Narberth, PA, Ken Dress and his partner, Diane Evans, of Canton, GA, Harold Cahoon and his wife, Meredith, of Warwick, Pam Poli and her husband, Fred Mayerhoff, of Tiverton and Chris Cahoon and his partner, Cindy Desisto, of North Attleboro. Dear brother of Roz Bolski of Palmyra, VA. Loving grandfather of Lena Meyerhoff, Peyton, Jacob, Eli and Barbara Dress.
Funeral services will be held THURSDAY, August 5, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. Masks will be required. To view a recording of the service, please Click Here.

Donna and family, our deepest condolences on the passing of Charlie. He was such a genuine nice guy who I enjoyed talking to for years while my boys played tennis. He was great with the kids and they enjoyed joking and talking with him each week as well. He will be missed and we will cherish our memories of him.
