Paula S. Cohen

Dear Cohen Family; This was shared with me at a time of loss and I share it forward. DEATH IS NOTHING
Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak to me in the easy way, which you always used. Put no difference in your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, and pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is an absolute unbroken continuity. What is Death but a negligent accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well .

To Richard, David, Miriam, Robert, Jon and Cara –
I shared a very special part of your life — the early years that I know you may not all remember very well. I remember special things about each of you of course, but one of the things that I most remember is how your mother loved you all. She was full of love and fun and candor and practicality all at once, and she had big dreams for all of us! (After all, I was just a kid then, too).
In many ways she was a role model for me — I thought of her often as I was raising my own children.
I have wished you all well in my heart many times over the years. I am so sorry for your loss and so grateful that Paula Cohen, and all of you, were a part of my life for a time.
With love,
Lori DiPrete Brown

Richard & Family,
Jeanne and I were extremely saddened by the news of Paula’s passing. You & Paula became best and dear friends during our time together at Emerald Dunes. Jeanne became especially close to Paula and the two of them shared many happy times together – shopping, trips to the local salon, hanging out at the pool and dinners at our favorite establishments. We cannot express our sincere condolences adequately enough to feel the pain of your loss. May dear Paula rest in peace and may you, Richard (& family), find peace and comfort in the coming days…
