Davis, Joel F., 67, died Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Glendora Grand Nursing Home, in Glendora, CA. Beloved son of the late Albert and Shirley (Chorney) Davis and dear brother of Nancy Davis (Sheila Josephson) of New York City, NY. Joel was a longtime resident of California, previously living in Cranston.
Joel’s lifelong passion was writing, which became his profession; he was a proud, card-carrying member of the Writer’s Guild of America. He loved his friends, his family, and his beloved dog, Alex. He was a graduate of Providence College.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Sinai Memorial Park, 100 Harrison Ave., Warwick, RI.

My deepest sympathy to Joel’s family and friends. Joel was very compassionate and had a heart bigger than the universe. I will miss his daily calls for the past 20+ yrs. I met him through his book “with ALEX by my side”! We both had service dogs and epilepsy. Joel was my mentor and best friend and will be missed deeply. I will try my best to make the world a better place just like Joel did for me and others. RIP my best friend!
