Warren Foster

Foster, Warren, 87, of 602 Scituate Ave., died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at home.  He was the beloved husband of Geraldine (Segal) Foster.  They were married for 63 years.  Born in Fall River, MA, a son of the late Abraham and Ida (Greenberg) Foster, he had lived in Cranston, previously living in Providence.  He was the owner of Quality Fruitland in Seekonk, MA.  Warren was a WW-II Army veteran, serving in the European Theatre.  He was a graduate of Boston University College of Business Administration, Class of 1950.  He was a member of Temple Beth-El, the RI Jewish Historical Association and Phi Epsilon Pi.  He was an avid bowler, golfer and tennis player and played clarinet and saxophone.  Devoted father of Judith Foster and her husband, Mark Andres, of Brooklyn, NY, Vivian Drolet and her husband, Rudy, of Cranston, Libby Agai and her husband, Miko, of Jerusalem, Israel, and Harold Foster and his wife, Sara-Ann, of Barrington.  Loving grandfather of Beryl, Abby, Avi, David, Sasha, Adam, Dov, and Chaya Deana.  Cherished great-grandfather of Brooke Chaya, Levi, and Ezra.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in Temple Beth-El, 70 Orchard Ave., Providence.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Na’Amat, 505 8th Ave., Suite 2302, New York, NY 10018 or RI Jewish Historical Association, 130 Sessions St., Providence, RI 02906 or Temple Beth-El, 70 Orchard Ave., Providence, RI 02906.  Shiva will be observed at his late residence, Thurs. 7-9, Fri. 2-4 and Sat. 8-10 p.m.  Arrangements by SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston.
