Jacob P. Fink

Fink, Jacob “Jack” P., of 61 Sheffield Road, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Miriam Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Marilynn Claire (Silverman) Fink for 65 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Louis and Etta (Rakatansky) Fink, he had lived in Cranston and Boynton Beach, FL. Jack was the owner and president of Louis Fink Scrap Metal Company, until his retirement in 1985. He was a WW-II Air Force veteran serving in the European Theater. Jack was a graduate of Bryant College. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans, Touro Fraternal Association, Overseas Lodge #40 AF & AM, Temple Am David and a former board member and founder of Temple Torat Yisrael. Devoted father of David Fink and his wife Heleene of Marblehead, MA and Sharon Fink-Custis and her husband Howard of Johnston. Loving grandfather of Adam and Bryan Fink and Rebecca Custis. Dear brother of the late Nathan and Harold Fink. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Shriner’s Hospital Transportation Fund or Temple Am David. Shiva will be observed at his late residence Sunday 7-9, Monday and Tuesday 6-9 p.m. Shiva will continue at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Fink, Marblehead, MA on Wednesday.
