Idlis, Carol A., 84, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Home. She was the beloved wife of the late George Idlis for 50 years and best friend of Marshall I. Silverman of Worcester. Born in Worcester, MA, a daughter of the late Bennett and Frances (Berkowitz) Siegal, she had lived in Cranston for 48 years, previously living in MA. She taught preschool at the Cranston YMCA for almost 30 years. Carol was a Lifemember of Hadassah and Jewish Healthcare of Worcester. Devoted mother of Michael Idlis of Jupiter, FL, Bonnie Arky and her husband, Steve, of Acton, MA, and Amy Misbin and her husband, Barry, of Cranston, RI. Dear sister of Sylvia Kahn of Midlothian, VA. Loving grandmother of Ben and his wife, Zehava, Matthew and his wife, Kelly, Jesse, Aaron, and Sophie. Adored great grandmother of Mendel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Spondylitis Association of America, 16360 Roscoe Blvd. Ste. 100, Van Nuys, CA 91406 or the charity of your choice. Shiva will be observed at 23 Sachem Dr., Cranston, Wednesday, 2-8 p.m.

We are so sorry for the loss of Carol. We were blessed to have our daughters cared for by her the Cranston YMCA. She leaves a wonderful legacy in her family and the children she has cared.

My condolences to the family of ‘Mrs. Idlis”. She was the pre-school teacher of my twins Rodney and Julie Thomas who were blessed to be guided by her in their early learning.

I was so saddened to hear of Carol’s passing especially so soon after my dad’s. I would have come to the shiva, but we were out of town. My parents adored Carol and George. They are all together once again.
