Maurice A. Wine

Maurice (Moe) A. Wine, 89 of Cranston, Rhode Island, passed away at his home on November 16, 2016 surrounded by his loving children.  He was born on October 6, 1927 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Louis and Julia Wine.  Moe was the beloved husband of the late Charlotte P. Wine. When he returned from World War II he attended Bryant College, earning a degree in accounting. He was a career accountant, ultimately retiring in 1990 from De Felice Realty.  He was a member of Temple Torat Yisrael, and Temple Am David, being an active member in both of their men’s clubs. He belonged to the Touro Fraternal Association and South Providence Hebrew Free Loan.  Moe is survived by his daughter Lois and her husband Ron, and his son Gary and his wife Emily, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  He was the brother of the late Frances Dorsch, and the late Rosaline Blazer.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18 at 10:30 AM at Shalom Memorial Chapel 1100 New London Ave, Cranston.  Shiva will be observed at the home of Lois and Ron at 66 Hornbeam Drive, Cranston, RI on Friday from 2 – 4 PM, Saturday 6 – 8 PM and Sunday 1 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 or a charity of your choice.
