Rebekah- with all the many last names it was not clear to me until now that Dan is your son….holding you even deeper in my heart as you navigate this most unimaginable path. May Spirit hold you and give you the strength and courage to be with all that is there now. Love and prayers to you and yours.

Bekah, Ava, Lily and the rest of the tribe, I am so sorry for your terrible tragic loss. One of my many memories of Daniel was at a RIC professor’s party in 2002. Ava and Daniel were the only children at the party (they were about 8 I guess), and Daniel kept trying to find someone to play with because Ava was busy. Finally, after asking every adult around, Ava overheard Daniel asking “Doesn’t anyone want to play with me?” And she ran over to him with a big smile on her face and said, “I do!” I remember loving their sweetness and that they had each other.
I am so deeply sorry he’s gone.

Bekah, I know what a vibrant and caring family you are. And you embody the community that has gathered to support you, the way you support it. I have also asked Providence Zen Center to put his name on their altar and also circulate his name to our centers worldwide for “special chanting” on behalf of him and your family.

A brother in MTG, A Brother in life, I’m sure I speak for everyone who played magic with Dan at one time or another that we are all very very shocked. I know for myself, its always hard to lose someone you care for, but when it’s someone you met through the magical world of Magic the Gathering, it hurts just a little bit more.

I know I am unable to attend the ceremony for Dan, but I do wish the best to his family as I know it was a tragic loss for them.

Dear Rebekah, Ava, Lily and family, I am heartbroken at comprehending this news. I remember Dan as Raki, a truly, truly beautiful, funny and precious boy with his white blonde hair and impish smile. Of course I remember him even before he had hair when you, Rebekah, were such a nursing goddess with the twins, and we would all meet up with our babes in arms. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Love, love, love from us–Terra, Richard, Ella, Isadora and Ursula

    Rebekah and Mark,
We learned this sad news today, 4.5 years later. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, his sisters and Daniel.
It was so hard that sharing the news was an act of courage, even in 2021.
We remember all of you from the youngest age, when we were all young and our eyes were filled with glimpses of tomorrow.
    Time passes.
    Pierre and Valerie
