Elsie Chernack

Chernack, Elsie, 95, died Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at John Clarke Retirement Center.  She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Chernack.  Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Charles and Sarah (Spater) Koffler, she had lived in Cranston for 58 years.  Elsie was a member of Hadassah.  She was an avid reader, Mah Jongg player and followed Patriots football.  Devoted mother of Stuart Chernack and his wife, Randi, of Boynton Beach, FL and Francine Clark of Newport.  Dear sister of Esther (Koffler) Kaplan of Long Island, NY and the late Edith (Koffler) Spindell.  Loving grandmother of Jared and Tira Chernack. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Lincoln Park Cemetery, 1469 Post Road, Warwick.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to John Clark Retirement Center, 600 Valley Road, Middletown, RI 02842 or your favorite charity.  Shiva will be private.

    FRANCINE SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT ELSIE. I KNOW MY MOM FANNIE SPADER LEVIN AND GRANDMOTHER CLARA GOODMAN SPADER WERE ALL VERY CLOSE TO ELSIE AND ESTHER,AND EDIE. I REMEMBER TAKING MY GRANDMOTHER TO VISIT ELSIE AND LEONARD. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. GARY LEVIN

    dear stuart and francine,
    my parents jacky and roxy juskalian, were friends of you parents in the 1940′-60′s. i remember you coming to our house on bretton woods drive in dean estates(cranston).
    i am offering my condolences; so sorry for your loss.
