I did not have the pleasure of knowing this loving, caring family man, Neal H. White. I do know that his legacy has already learned the value of helping others and the love of learning. His modeling and empathy for others will exist forever.

Neil was a genuinely nice guy with a good sense of humor who was dedicated to helping ease the pain and suffering of others. I had the pleasure of serving as Neil’s Wish Granting Partner in the early 200′s and I marveled at how dedicated to the Wish kids he was. It was without fanfare that he would visit Hasbro Children’s Hospital and cheer up the kids with his magic tricks and good humor. I marveled at his dedication and wish his family my sincerest condolences. The ravages of cancer are awful and Neil and I often spoke of our wish that one day our world will be freed from this terrible disease. Rest easy Neil, you have more than earned your peace. – Steve Minicucci

I was deeply saddened to hear about Neal’s passing. Our families were incredibly close through all our school years on the East Side. He was one of the kindest guys I knew and I was proud to call him a friend. He came to my parents’ funerals after not seeing them (and me) for quite some time and I was so happy to see him again. May his memory bring all who knew him many blessings. Rest in peace, Neal my friend.

When I heard of Neal’s Death , my mind reverted back to Summit Ave Elementary school, where we first met in the second grade. As we all grow we develop the armor of self protection which covers the soft innocence of youth. I was lucky to meet Neal before we both developed that protective layer.

Throughout the our adults years we socialized and communicated and each time we did the friendship of boys without armor shined through. My memories of Neal will always be rooted in the days of our youth.

My deepest condolences go out to the entire White family
I grew up with most of you although
Neil was older than I was and I didn’t know him that well but I know he was a sweet gentle man just like his father. I’m sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Neal’s family during this time of bereavement, remembrance, and celebration of his wonderful life. My memories of Neal go back to our years at Nathan Bishop and Hope High School, and the years since when we’d meet at a class reunion, or just by chance, and it was like time stood still, a handshake, a hug, and a how you doing Butch, how you doing Neal! Some people you don’t need to see everyday to know, you’ve got a Friend. Go in Peace My Friend, You will be missed! God Bless
