Sharon, Craig and family I am so sorry for your loss. Loved seeing your dad “Uncle Joe” at Backner family gatherings. He always brought a smile to my face. He’s with his beloved Dot now, and can rest in peace.

Deb and I send our thoughts and condolences to the Rosen family. During my travels through the Grand Lodge of Freemasonry for Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, it was my honor and privilege to know Judah and to bathe in his sonorous and well-articulated voice during our Lodge meetings. In 1993, upon being elected Grand Master, I was delighted to bring Judah back to the Grand Lodge to serve as a Deputy Grand Chaplain. Over these many years, we were in communication with each other and maintained a close relationship. For that, I will always cherish and fondly remember those many conversations and quips he shared with me. Rip in Peace my brother and friend.

    To the Rosen Family,
When Judah spoke, especially in prayer, it was like the Great Architect of the Universe was speaking through him. We have great memories of our Masonic travels with Dorothy and Judah. He set high values of love of family and followed the true teachings of Masonry. We will miss his friendship and counsel , which was well appreciated and respected by us.

I was sorry to hear of the passing of Judah. I have many wonderful memories of Judah and Dotty at many Touro functions since 1979.

I was saddened to learn of Judah’s death. I enjoyed his service as Chaplain for Redwood Lodge. We often joked that Judah was the “voice of God”. He will be missed.
