Areen Lipsitz

Lipsitz, Areen, 83, died Friday, June 3, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of the late Abram Lipsitz and loving companion of Albert Algeni.  Born in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Milton and Rose (Birdwise) Kahn, she had lived in Warwick for over 40 years, previously living in North Kingstown.  She was a self-employed jewelry manufacturer, retiring in 1996.  Areen was a Korean Conflict Air Force veteran, serving in the European Theatre.  She was a chairman of the board for the Fashion Jewelry Association of America and a member of the MJSA.  Devoted mother of Richard Lipsitz and his wife, Anne, of North Kingstown. Cherished grandmother of Amy and Emily. Adored friend of Josefina Cordeiro.
