Mildred “Milly” Bander
Bander, Mildred “Milly,” 86, of Minnesota Ave., died Monday, April 4, 2016 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. She was the beloved wife of Sydney Bander for 65 years. Born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of the late Samuel and Lena (Wishnefsky) Servita, she had lived in Florida for 16 years, previously living in West Warwick. She was the owner of the former Mildred Bander Surveys, retiring in 2001. Milly was a member and past president of ORT, a life member of Hadassah, and former member of Temple Sinai. Devoted mother of Scott Bander and his wife, Susan, and Howard Bander, all of Warwick. Dear sister of Alvin Servita of Coral Springs, FL and the late Charlotte Litchman. Loving grandmother of Adam and his wife, Yudy, and Gregory. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to RI SPCA, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, RI 02915. Shiva will be observed at 56 Martingale Dr., Warwick, on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 and Friday 2-4 p.m.
