Estelle M. Churnick

Churnick, Estelle M., 81, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice, Providence.  She was the beloved wife of the late George “Yussi” Churnick. Born in Brockton, MA, a daughter of the late Abraham and Vera (Schleiffer) Rubin, she had lived in Warwick, previously living in Cranston.  She was a salesperson for Benny’s, Cherry & Webb, and Filene’s, retiring 36 years ago.  Estelle was a member of the Pythian Sisters and was once voted “Queen for a Day.”  Devoted mother of Cheryl (Donald) Berger of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Vicki Pagliarini (Donald) of Cranston, and Amy Warner (William) of Lakewood Ranch! FL.  Dear sister of the late Shirley Solomon and Martha Cipkin. Cherished grandmother of Adam, Tara, Donald, William, and Ashley. Adored great-grandmother of Emma, Ainsley, Zoe, Fiona, and John. Graveside services were held Friday, March 27, in Lincoln Park Cemetery, Warwick.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
