Ross, Malvern “Mal”, 89, of 115 Marbury Ave., Pawtucket, died Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Young) Ross for 67 years. Devoted father of David Ross of Lincoln. Dear brother of the late Seymour Rosenberg and Martha Tommassino. Loving grandfather of Michael. Born in Providence, a son of the late David and Anna Rosenberg, he had lived in Pawtucket since 1956. Mal was the former co-owner of Lewis-Williams Furniture Co. in East Providence for 27 years, retiring in 1997. He was a WW-II Army veteran. Mal was a member of Touro Fraternal Association, Redwood Lodge #35 AF & AM, Barker Players, Temple Beth-El and a former member of Temple Emanu-El and the Jewish Bowling Congress. He was a past president of the Cranston Senior Guild. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12:00 noon in SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to your favorite charity. Shiva will be private.

    I am so very sorry for your loss. My mother was Barbara Lozow, daughter of Martha Tommassino. I wish we had gotten the chance to meet. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

    I have very fond memories of your dad. Your parents and mine were all part of a nice group of friends. Mal was a funny and really nice man. I’m really sorry for your loss.
