Elman, Norman A., of 480 Country View Dr., died Saturday, March 14, 2015, at home, surrounded by his loving family and beloved Bichon, Tevy. He was the beloved husband of Arline (Raskin) Elman for 39 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Morris and Dorothy (Ackerman) Elman, he had lived in Warwick for 39 years, previously residing in Cranston. He was the owner of Olnyville Tire Co. in Providence. Norman was a member of Touro Fraternal Association, Redwood Lodge #35 AF & AM, Temple Beth-El and its Brotherhood, was a former member of Temple Sinai and past president of its Brotherhood and was a board member of Lincoln Park Cemetery. Loving father of Dory E. Elman of Cranston and Michelle J. Elman of Brookline, MA. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in TEMPLE BETH-EL, 70 Orchard Ave., Providence. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to your favorite charity. Shiva will be observed at his late residence Monday, 7-9 and Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.

Dear Arline, Michelle and Dory.
Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved husband and father. I only met Norman once but through my interactions with his daughter Michelle and beloved wife Arline I know he was a good man with a focus on family.I know the loss is deep but be thankful for his love and devotion. You have been very blessed to have him in your life’s for such a long time. Norman will never leave you. His mark on the world is indelible and it will carry on through you.
