Glatt, Phillip R., 58, died February 10, 2015. Beloved son of Evelyn (Fischer) Glatt of Cranston and the late Irving Glatt. Dear brother of Risé Siegel of Farmington Hills, MI. Cherished uncle of Corey and Kaley. He was a catering manager for an airport and was an avid airline photographer. Funeral services and shiva are private.

Phil was a champion of aviation photography. His passion and devotion shined. He was a friend to us all in the hobby and he will be missed.

Phillip was a good friend for many years in our aviation photography and collectibles hobby. We all shared great and memorable times together and not a dull moment when he was around. He was a gentleman, always inviting us to his home to share our passion for aviation and food and whatever there was to talk about. The airline industry and hobby lost a great person. May he rest in peace. Blue skies……….
It’s sad to hear of Phil’s untimely death. I had the pleasure of spending a few days in San Diego with him in the late 1990s. We ate dinner one night at a local steakhouse which, coincidentally, I revisited with my wife’s good friend and her kids.
During dinner, I kept thinking of Phil. He was one of a kind and will be missed.
Farewell Phil, old friend. I am sorry to hear of your passing and I extend my condolences to your family members and friends. You were a great inspiration to many other aviation photographers and slide collectors. You will be remembered by many for the rest of their lifetimes.
Very sad to hear another of our classmates has passed. Deepest sympathy to Phil’s family.
I wish to extend my most heartfelt sympathy to the entire Glatt family. Many an enjoyable hour was spent in the 1980′s and 1990′s along the perimeter of numerous airport runways with Phil. He was an integral part of dozens of aviation hobby events from coast to coast. His memory will be carried in the hearts and minds of aviation enthusiasts, around the world and too numerous to mention. He will be missed by all.
Dear Jerry, I’m an old friend of yours but we haven’t seen each other in years. I’ve never forgotten you.
May you rest in peace Phil. I miss the good old days in Miami at the slide shows, those were good times and you were a big part of it all. For your beloved family, may the Almighty comfort you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem
I have many fond memories of my cousin Phillip. A warm heart, a wonderful sense of humor and such a good heart.

So sorry about Phil’s passing. I knew Phil a little in our senior year in high school and remember mostly his good sense of humor, as well as his interest in the “airport”. It’s good to see here that a couple of our classmates also remember Phil kindly. I send his family condolences, and my memory of Phil as a likeable and good guy.
