Joan R. Konopky

Konopky, Joan R., 79, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Cedar Crest.  She was the beloved wife of the late Marvin Konopky. Born in Brookline, MA, a daughter of the late Casper and Ethel (Fader) Levine, she had lived in Cranston for over 50 years. Joan loved to dance as a child, becoming involved with ballet.  She was also an avid Red Sox fan.  Devoted mother of Kenneth Konopky and his wife, Sandra, of Midlothian, VA and Beth Lewis and her late husband, Daniel, of Cranston. Loving grandmother of Amber, Evan, and Ryan.  Graveside services will be held Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in Lincoln Park Cemetery, 1469 Post Rd., Warwick.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 275 Westminster St., Providence, RI 02903.  Shiva will be observed at 21 C St., Cranston, Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
