Field.  Susan was born in New York City, the daughter of the late Bernard and Hilda Kaplan of Swampscott, MA.   She had lived in Cranston, RI for 51 years and raised three sons while teaching elementary school in the Cranston School System until her retirement.  Susan was the original helicopter mom, long before someone invented the term.  She sacrificed her own career to raise a family at a young age and make sure her children lived their dreams.
