Mally was a loving and kind man. He faced life with a smile and with a joy seldom seen in others. His devotion to his first wife, Honey, was laudable. He will be missed.

With deepest sympathy to the family during your time of grief. God is for you a refuge and strength. A help that is there to be found during difficult times. May God provide you with peace and comfort to endure the days ahead. (Psalms 62:8)

    Beverly,

My heart goes out to you at this time. Although I may not have kept in close touch, every time the Brown Alumni magazine came I thought of Malcolm. Harold used to send them on to him while he was still alive, I should have kept it up. At a time as this we have to rely on our memories, especially the good ones.
    All the best to you.

Uncle Mal was a wonderful man, funny, honorable and honest , just like his brother. There is nothing to make anyone that knew him feel better about his passing except, just knowing him made my wife Gayle and my sons Matt and Brian and I feel good knowing there was a little of him in all of us. The knowledge that he is taking into the box, all a man can be and do, under life’s circumstances, will hopefully provide some solace to us all. Our Love to Bev and Karen; Bill, Gayle, Matt and Brian Kahn.

    Dearest Bev,

This may seem tacky –leaving my email message to you here, but it was returned to sender. I hope this gets to you. I left you 2 phone messages previously, after I heard the news, because I wasn’t sure I had your most recent street address. I fully understand if you received the messages but were in no mood to talk.

I just wanted to share with you because Mallie meant so much to me –I feel I can deeply empathize with your loss. I loved him dearly. Not to mention the fact that he was one of a kind, and so kind, as well. Fun, too.

I was missing him and wanted to stay connected when I called last year, but I could tell he was not in a place to socialize even a
little bit at that time. I imagine it was difficult for both of you
and my heart goes out to you. You were both extremely fortunate to have found each other and spend many QUALITY years together. I am thankful he had YOU!

Much love, and my deepest condolences,
    Mallie’s niece, Meryl
