    Stephen,
My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Your mom was such a special lady. I learned so much from her and she would always smile when I told her that. May she rest in peace–I will surely miss her. Cheryl

    Our Dear Steve,

Mom was indeed a special lady. Our families go back many many years and keeping in contact with your Mom all these years has meant a great deal. Whenever we got up to RI, we so enjoyed seeing her and catching up. She was amazing and we will always treasure the memories. We will miss her ….she is now smiling down on you, Molly and the family. Know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Hugs from us to you!

Dearest Steve, Molly, Annie and Sam,
Your mom and grandmother was a unique and special individual: dedicated to family, friends and her passions of reading, interacting with others, recording memories and stories filled with humor and accuracy and just being “Syl.”

After Temple Beth Israel merged with Temple Beth Torah and became Torat Yisrael, well over 25 years ago, she came to me to Volunteer her services several days each week. While a Volunteer, she considered working for our school her job and did everything with caring and perfection. Over the years she
“worked” for me and since we have become dear friends. While Stan and I retired from full time work and relocated to California, we continued corresponding by letter and of course visited her whenever we in Rhode Island. As such we feel that we know each one of you as Mom always spoke of you with such a big smile and great pride.

We will miss her letters, sense of humor, sharp wit and keeping in touch with her, but we have marvelous memories of her which will remain with us throughout our lives.

Stan and I send our deepest sympathy at this sad time in your family life cycle and pray that the memories of her life and the wonderful years you had with one another will be some source of comfort.

    With sincere affection,
    Lonna
