DATELINE: Newport  Lewis, Lois Elaine, 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, after a life filled with family, friends and love. Lois was born on April 5, 1937 in Providence, Rhode Island to Mary Beatrice (Lubin) and Leo Andelman. She was an incredibly bright student and graduated at the age of 16 from Hope High School in 1954. Lois attended Boston University before she met the love of her life on the beach in Narragansett. William Lewis swept her off her feet and they married in 1955. The two then moved to Cranston, Rhode Island to start their life together. Lois and Bill had three children: Debra, Michael and Steven. DATELINE: CRANSTON Abrams, Stanley B., 82, died Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Steere House, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Finklestein) Abrams. They were married for 55 years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Frank and Pauline (Wexler) Abrams, he had lived in Providence before moving to Cranston 18 years ago. He was a co-owner of What Cheer Foods for 25 years, retiring 16 years ago. Stanley was a Korean Conflict Navy veteran, serving on the USS Shasta in the Mediterranean.
