I hired Steve into Draper Lab.
In addition to his technical cabilities in operation research Steve was a great advisor to many Draper students.
I thought that his nomination to education director was a culmination of his contribution to his students success.
I will miss him

I am very saddened to hear about the passing of Stephan. I knew him for many years at Draper Laboratory and shared many walks and laughs with him. He truly was a kind and helpful person and I my heart and prayers go out to his family and close friends.
Stephan was a humble, caring and thoughtful person. I always enjoyed our time together and we both share a love of photography. I am deeply saddened by his passing. May he be counted amping the righteous of Zion. Shalom
We send our sincere and deepest condolences to Ann and the entire family. We are so sorry to learn about Stephan’s passing. He was a truly wonderful person.
Stephan was a gentle sweet man who was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Our family gatherings will have a large hole for a long time. I know that I will miss him. May the love and caring that he showed to his loved ones continue to light their lives.
I was very saddened to hear of Stephan’s passing. At Draper we collaborated in support of MIT’s middle and high school programs for minority students. Steve was a wonderful, deeply committed director of education overseeing the Draper Laboratory Fellows Program for graduate students and personally mentoring tech staff and students while managing technical work. I appreciated being able to seek his advice while mutually supporting one another in common goals. My deepest condolences to Ann and Sarah.
Dear Ann
So sorry to learn of Stephan’s passing. Such a kind, vibrant and loving man will be missed by many. My sincerest condolences to you and your family. I am out of town and cannot be with you right now but know that I will be with you in spirit.
As the senior MOED family genealogist, it grieved me to learn of Stephan’s death from his fond brother Byron. We never met, to my great regret, because I lived in Miami before moving to Los Angeles in 1999. I send my heartfelt condolences to his wife and all his immediate family members. Fondly, cousin Henny in Los Angeles, CA.
