Brown, B. David, 97, of Summit Commons, died Friday, June 20, 2014, at the Commons. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Bedrick) Brown. Born in New York, NY, a son of the late Samuel and Sadie (Karg) Brown, he had lived in Warwick for 17 years before moving to Providence. He previously lived in Teaneck, NJ and Arizona. David was a graduate of Fairleigh-Dickenson University in Teaneck, NJ. He was a stockbroker for the former Bache & Co., now Prudential Securities, for 26 years, retiring in 1977. David was an Army veteran of both WW-II, serving in England and Korea, serving in Washington, DC. He was a captain in the Signal Corps. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans Post 23. Devoted father of Jeffrey M, Brown, M.D. of West Hartford, CT and Richard A. Brown, Ph.D. of Austin, TX. Dear brother of Lillian Gaeser of Boca Raton, FL and the late Daniel Brown and Elsie Nelson. Loving grandfather of Elana, Ariel, Jessica and Jason. Cherished companion of Bette Pitchon of Warwick. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, June 27th, at 11:30 a.m. in Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd, Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886. Shiva will be private.
